Success leaves clues...

We're all here on earth for a bigger purpose...and I believe its to give back more than we receive. I've been blessed to have mentors and friends who have helped me on this journey and this page is dedicated to them and hopefully it will help change the lives of others who visit this page. Success is not just having a lot of money, but the balance of health, wealth and spirituality all in one. I wish you success in whatever you do and may you always follow your dream path in life no matter how big or impossible it may seem.

Don't look where I'm at, but where I'm about to go

Thank God for moments like these, when He tests to see what you're made of, creating what you were born to be. The Samurai sword, a perfect example of a transformed object. From a piece of steel, hammered and pounded thousands of times until it becomes a work of art, a sword so strong that the best warriors used it to defend themselves and conquer enemies to build an EMPIRE.

So grateful for the people in my life, who's been there, and who will be there in the future. I am on a journey, to make an impact and one day, the story will be told.

How to stay focused in an unfocused world.

One of the greatest businessmen I've ever met, Rick Susie, talked about "How to stay focused in an unfocused world" in his book, You Were Right Mr. Carris (click here to order the book) and he sure is 100% right. People want to make the big money, the wealthy lifestyle, but I have met so many people in the past decade who simply can't stay focused long enough to really get what they want. Negative spouses, financial issues, health, etc etc...all play part in wether they go forward with their dreams, or they settle for mediocrity....

The Nine (9) P's of Winning - from Success Magazine

Want to know what all the most successful businesspeople, athletes, celebrities and politicians know? Author Frank I. Luntz says winners (not the Charlie Sheen kind) possess nine common principles that anyone can incorporate in their own life. It’s no magic potion. It’s these essentials:
People Centeredness – Paradigm Breaking – Prioritization — Perfection –
Partnership — Passion — Persuasion — Persistence — Principled Action
People-Centeredness
Winners know what makes people tick, and they connect either to our fears or our aspirations—or both.  The job of all winning communicators is to recognize what is missing in others’ lives and then try to address it.  Winners help us imagine the possibilities that change our realities.  The people-centered approach is to address, resolve, and alleviate personal pain—to focus on “solutions” rather than the management of the problem.
Winning Trait: Discover what people need and help them get it.

Paradigm Breaking
Winners are not improvers; they are game-changers. Remember, as much as we say we want change, it is natural to resist it. As human beings, we innately fear the unknown, even if we simultaneously embrace it. The best communicators know how to position their new product or idea as an improvement that people should expect to have—not a burden they’ll have to bear.
Winning Trait: Present change as an improvement, not a burden.

Prioritization
They (winners) know how to separate what must be done from what should be done—and that has a direct correlation to what they say and when they say it. In fact, identifying and effectively articulating priorities may be the single most important component of successful communication. Winners prioritize their messages. In fact, in the era of texting and Twitter, the longer you speak, the less people hear.
Winning Trait: Carefully select what you say and what you do.

Perfection
If you’re not driven to perfection, you’ll never reach excellence.  It’s one thing to work sixteen-hour days because you have to. It’s another to work sixteen-hour days because you want to. Winners who are passionate about their work don’t mind a sixteen-hour day if that’s what it takes for them to be the best they can possibly be.
Winning Trait: You don’t have to be perfect. But you have to be your very best.

Partnership
No one is perfect. Honest, open communication is paramount for a partnership to survive.  Without it, trust and respect will simply wither.  Partnerships thrive on achieving the right balance that maximizes the “good” and minimizes the “bad” that each side brings to the relationship.
Winning Trait: Don’t let “bad” fester. Communicate clearly with your partner and turn it into “good.”

Passion
There isn’t a winner anywhere who doesn’t bring passion to what they do or how they communicate.  There are three language attributes at play:
First, they communicate confidence in themselves and in their products;
Second, the message always rests on results and solutions; and
Third, there is a clear call to action at the end.
But passion is about more than just words and languages.  Effectively communicating passion requires focus on style and delivery.
Winning Trait: Passion isn’t something you just have; it’s something you share.

Persuasion
Winners don’t preach; they persuade.  They tell you exactly why you should accept their point of view, yet you feel like you came to their conclusions on your own.
Winning Trait: Persuasion is explaining why an idea is great; not how it’s their great idea.

Persistence
Winners know how to succeed over the long haul.  In fact, they know that winning is defined by repeat performances and increasing achievements.  Winners never give up, never accept defeat, and work as long and as hard as it takes to get the job done right.  Winners commonly say, “Don’t tell me why I can’t do it.  Tell me how I can get it done.”
Winning Trait: Persist until you perspire.

Principled Action
What good is winning at work if you lose at life?  The concluding chapter puts in perspective the essential nature of a set of the guiding principles that define true winners.  It focuses on those who gave up their morality, humanity, and decency in the chase for success—and how they fell from grace because winning wasn’t just everything, it was the only thing.
Winning Trait: Winning is whole-life success in all areas, not just one.
Chapter read and annotated by Ashley Glenn, SUCCESS Marketing Manager.

Don't stop BELIEVING...in yourself.

As we wrap up the 2011 MBOP-USA Pageant and send off the reigning Queen to Manila for MWP, I would like to acknowledge the baddest team that ever produced a Fil-Am Pageant...BLUFIZZ! Thank you to Judith Milano-Madamba for believing and trusting me, for sticking it out through it all, for being committed and pulling in all the long hours, no one else could've done that! We did it! To the crew, Miyako aka Danielle-San, Doneazy, and to Ritual for his strategic mindset...this is just the beginning to the Blufizz Empire. Thanks to Studio 1003, Belmont Station for your unconditional love and support. To all the sponsors, contestants, vendors, staff, and parents, "Maraming Salamat!"

As I look back and reflect, we went through some tests and obstacles, miracles and tears of joy and sometimes frustration...but what came out of it was a testimony to God's Greatness!

The way of the Crab.

As I enjoyed my boiling crab the other night, I was thinking about how great our community would be if everyone just helped push UP each other instead of being so secretly envious and backstabbing. As we begin the final stretch before the MBOP pageant this Saturday, I thank all of those who have genuinely supported our movement and cause every step of the way. I love the energy that is greatly moving the event, and I thank God every moment I can for all the blessings and guidance He has blessed our organization with. His hand is definitely in this project, because of our commitment to making this world a better place. I also thank everyone who have made us stronger and wiser, you have come into our lives for a reason. In 7 days, the First Miss Beauty of the Philippines-USA Winner will be crowned, in my opinion, all the contestants are already winners, for they all possess beautiful souls, each one has their own story. Thank you for this moment.

Don't take my kindness for my weakness...

I love people, especially my friends and family, but a very smart man told me once a few years ago that "People are people are people." I believe him. I also believe in giving back, more than what I've been given...and along the way, numerous souls have come into my life's path and have somehow guided me along the way, and so I always want to return the blessings. There are times though, when I thought I can count on certain people and they just simply turn out to be selfishly inconsiderate. The saddest thing to see is when someone takes you for granted. Rule #1 - "Don't take my kindness for my weakness," because someday you might call and I might not answer.

PHILIPPINES, the Beauty of it all...

A few months ago I was on Cathay-Pacific heading to Manila with a stop in HK. I spent the next few weeks in the Philippines, met some remarkable people, learned so much about business, and got to know my father a little bit more. An amazing experience, one that I will remember forever.

After reading The Alchemist, I realized my true heart's desire was to run my own business and help as many people as I can. The transition from PFS to full-time BLUFIZZ with the support of my family and close friends is an example of true love and friendship...

...in a few weeks, MISS BEAUTY OF THE PHILIPPINES-USA 2011...the world will witness the Beauty of everything that is...the Philippines.

• The UNIVERSE is ALWAYS on Purpose
• EVERYTHING is ENERGY
• Fruits are RESULTS
• Thoughts >> Feelings >> Actions = RESULTS

• Habits...its all about Habits

How to RESET Your Inner Money Thermostat and CREATE WEALTH

DARK- 10th year anniversary

Today marks the 10th year anniversary of a moment in my life when the world stood still. I got the call around 10 am the 15th of May, 2001 as I walked into my office at cs....another brother has fallen. The voice on the other end of the call told me to sit down if I was standing..."Tom is dead." Another moment in my life I will take with me til the day I die.

As I reflect on the past decade and how much I've experienced since then, I can't help but be grateful for a truly sincere friend that I had in Tom Truong. The dream is alive...

"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." - Thomas Paine

BELIEVE

It all starts from BELIEVE. If that's gone, it won't happen.

Its irrelevant but its all inter-connected?

I was told a few days ago that things are irrelevant, but the same source that said that stated that everything is inter-connected. I don't quite understand how that can be, sometimes you just have to think for yourself and not let anyone misguide you to their own self-motives (not sure if that's an exact word).

I learned these past few months that life is really what you want it to be. Can't please everyone, cuz I've tried that! And at the end of the day, when they don't get their way, they just ended up making me look like I was at fault. When, in reality, everyone in the equation is to blame....so I just took myself out of the equation. Simple.

Leadership, everything rises and falls on Leadership. I've been blessed to be in the presence of amazing leaders... Tam Minh Truong was one true leader. Led from the front and always kept his cool. Sincerely kind and genuine and always put the team first. Its been 10 years since I last spoke to him, he passed away in a car accident. Taken away too soon, but I'm here to "Keep the dream alive..."

Which goes back to "...its irrelevent or is it all inter-connected?" Because 10 years later, I am on the mission to "Keep the dream alive..." which is one reason why I joined an organization back in 2003 for that very thing...and realized a few months ago, in Jan 2011 that the dream I was trying to keep alive was dying slowly in an environment where there is mis-trust and bitterness.

But everything happens for a reason, right? The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, opened my eyes to the journey we all take in life. "Its irrelevent but its all inter-connected?" Find your gold.
